Flag day commemorates that on the 14th of June 1777, the Second Continental Congress adopted the red white and blue colors with the 13 red and white stripes (one for each of the original colonies) and 13 stars at the beginning (one for each state) as the flag of the United States of America.
On the 14th of June we also honor the fact that in 1775, 2 years before the adoption of a flag, the United States Army was born. For 238 years we have had our flag. For 240 years we have had an Army to defend the freedom's we hold so dear.
On a day like the 14th of June, let us recognize there is far more right with this nation than there is wrong with it and that is is not "the Army" it is OUR ARMY. Those national treasures who serve in our Army and their families who support them go for us.
Let's honor our flag and our Army...ARMY STRONG !!!!
As I said at the beginning “Mentoring Works!...It Depends”
